Did well to win over 1200m here earlier this month, prevailing by just a nose at the line; well drawn stepping back up in trip and can push forward and get on the speed again; progressing nicely and could easily go in again.
Both the Aussie NAP & NB went in last night so hopefully we can follow up on Sunday. WHEN STARS ALIGN catches the eye at Port Augusta for Kylie Mckerlie. He is a useful 4yo who has won twice from ten starts. He got his head back in front here last time winning by a nose and looks to have solid credentials again of following up. A low gate and extra distance can both suit and he looks the most logical winner. Full Tilt will be a big danger if ready to go on his return but you’d think he might need the run.

Race 3 Bendigo 4.25 American Whiskey (11/8)
Plenty of money came for this colt on debut and he made up a lot of ground to finish a promising second; can improve plenty from that initial effort and rates the one they all have to beat in a winnable race.
Hard to look past AMERICAN WHISKEY here for Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes. This colt showed plenty of ability on debut running home from way back and with that experience under his belt can go one better and open his account. He should be more streetwise now and can account for these. If I had to put forward a main danger it would probably be Orchestrate. She finished third on debut and then ran second at Donald last time. Like the selection she’s getting better with racing.
