Kempton 8.25 Dyagilev (10/3)
Likeable type who stayed on well to win at Chelmsford in February; held his form well since finishing second here and then going close at Lingfield on return; new trip looks within reach and rates the one to beat.
I can see DYAGILEV getting backed at Kempton on Tuesday night. He has run two big races since winning at Chelmsford and he still has scope off this mark going up in trip. There isn’t much pace on, if any, so he should push forward and dominate. Awesomedude could be the lurker in the pack but I thought his return was hardly encouraging and I’d want to see him show something before weighing in at short odds. Of the rest Hammy End ran well at Lingfield last time but is by no means a certainty to back that up.

Chepstow 7.40 Sir Plato (5/1)
Hasn’t won for a while but that last win did come off a mark of 76 and he is now 14lb lower and hinted as though his turn may be near when second at Chepstow last week; struck over this C&D as a 3yo; worth chancing.
I’m not usually a fan of backing a horse on a losing sequence but SIR PLATO is too well handicapped to ignore for me. He is 14lb below his last winning mark and ran well when second at Chepstow last week. He’s won over this C&D in the past and this looks weak so I can’t see how he doesn’t go close. Limelighter put in a career best to win at Windsor so is the one to beat but the selection is definitely good value against and I’m expecting a big run. At 5/1 you can even back him each way.
