Race 6 Ipswich 6.28 Socialising (10/11)
Smart mare who is chasing a hat-trick following good wins at Sunshine Coast and then Doomben last time; up in the weights but this looks set up for a closer and she can still improve so one to keep firmly on side.
We head to Ipswich as we look to land another NAP Down Under and SOCIALISING makes plenty of appeal in Race 6 on the card. She is looking for three wins in a row and it would take a brave man to oppose. She arguably had excuses the last twice too being slowly away and slightly hampered last time so has done well to get her head in front. With further progress possible and a bit more luck in the run she can defy a further rise in the weights. Her chance is reflected in her price. Difficult to get away from.

Race 5 Belmont 6.49 Chantrea (10/11)
Promising filly who is 3-3; perfect start at Bunbury in January and made it two in a row at that venue just three weeks later, picking up well in the closing stages; landed the hat-trick back from four months off last time; can improve again so rates the one to beat.
Expecting CHANTREA to make it 4-4 here for Lindsey Smith. She has looked very promising in three runs to date and with further gains likely should go in again under William Pike. She is likely to be a warm order but like the NAP I’m happy to row in with her. At a bigger price I can see Irritable Rodnee running a big race. Hard to upset the favourite but should run a place so might be worth an each way saver. Eurasia and Ginger Flyer also likely to be involved but the favourite should prove too good.
