Uttoxeter 1.15 Oxwich Bay (7/4)
Good to see him put it all together and win by over 8 lengths to get off the mark over fences at Newton Abbot last week; turned out quickly under a penalty and could build on that now his confidence is up; hard to oppose here.
A 7lb penalty shouldn’t be enough to anchor OXWICH BAY here. He was proving a bit frustrating in this sphere but managed to put it altogether to finally get off the mark over fences at Newton Abbot last time. He has a big engine and was utterly dominate in that race, coming clear on the run-in to win by over 8 lengths. He impressed me with how well he jumped on that occasion and if he turns up in the same form then he is hard to get away from. Arthur’s Sixpence still has potential and looks the main danger.

Hamilton 2.30 Striding Edge (9/4)
Broke smartly and kept finding up the rail to win readily at Musselburgh last time; leggy sort who can keep improving so looks a major player under a penalty; likelihood is he will push forward and try and dominate again.
We was with STRIDING EDGE when he bossed the opposition at Musselburgh last week and I’m not about to abandon him now. He found plenty off the bridle on that occasion and was nicely on top at the finish. Turned out quickly under a 6lb penalty he looks to have obvious claims of following up. Phoenix Approach has early dash but I fancy the selection to grab the lead and if he does he should prove hard to peg back. The latter is probably the main danger as he ran well when third at Beverley and can improve as well.
