Pontefract 3.55 Pleasure Garden (11/10)
Typical improver from this yard completing the hat-trick in good style at Chepstow last time, staying on strongly to assert in the closing stages; looks well in under a 6lb penalty and hard to get away from again.
No surprise to see PLEASURE GARDEN ahead of the handicapper. He still looked a big baby on handicap debut at Windsor last month and he has improved on the job now some 12lb higher with three wins under his belt. Effectively he is 3lb well in under a penalty here and you’d be foolish to rule out the four-timer. He has more to come over this trip and should be finishing best of all under Luke Morris. Spanish Persuader will do better as his stamina is drawn out being by Motivator but just looks to be bumping into one here.

Wolverhampton 4.30 Zoetic (11/8)
Improving filly who showed an abundance of promise when third on debut at Kempton and stepped forward again to fill the same position at Doncaster; bumped into Miss Jingles at Sandown and that rival followed up at Goodwood earlier this week.
The bookies aren’t giving much away here regarding the price of ZOETIC but that’s with good reason as she is the most likely winner. She bumped into a progressive rival last time and she can improve again herself so looks a cut above these. Half the field are newcomers so you’d expect them to need the run and of those that have had experience she sets a clear standard. Stream seemed to run below par last time but would be a danger if bouncing back as she had looked fairly promising prior to that.
