We’ve had a good look at the form overnight and here is what we like at Devonport, Sunshine Coast and Kalgoorlie in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Race 5 Sunshine Coast 6.20 One For Betty (10/11)
Useful mare who has won two of her last four starts; came home strongly to win fresh up after five months when justifying favouritism at Eagle Farm last time; fitter now and should take care of these.
Hard to look past the in-form ONE FOR BETTY here for David Vandyke and Ryan Maloney. She impressed last time and with fitness on side she should follow up and make it three wins from her last five starts. This lacks strength in depth so hard to pinpoint an exact danger. Perhaps Golly Hutt can bounce back but she’ll need to as that last run didn’t exactly inspire confidence. Even back to her best the favourite will be tough to hold out judged on that last run. Can’t really recommend much else.

Race 6 Devonport 4.40 Captain Dave (6/4)
Promising type who can really kick on now he has that win under his belt; won despite racing green to make the breakthrough at Hobart last month; more to come now and one to keep firmly on side.
We head to Devonport for our second best bet Down Under on Sunday morning and CAPTAIN DAVE is taken to notch up back-to-back wins. He may be a 6yo but he is lightly raced and there could be lots more to come. Ravage is on a long losing run but ran better three weeks ago so is entitled to get involved. Dubai Sky may run better than his odds suggest so could be worth an each way saver (as I think he’ll hit the frame). Gee Gees Punter needs more but is also respected.
