Race 4 Ballarat 6.00 Queen Of Rocks (1/1)
Promising filly who ran her best race to date when second at Pakenham last time back from 5 months off the track; acquitted herself well in Group company prior to that and likely to strip fitter for the run; hard to oppose.
The Aussie NAP is flying right now with SIX WINNERS IN THE LAST WEEK and we head to Ballarat on Thursday morning. QUEEN OF ROCKS ran well back from a break last time and with usual progression will be hard to stop here with Pike sticking about. She likes to come from off the pace so hopefully the go an honest clip and she can be seen to best effect. Themagicneverends ran well at Swan Hill last time and is a player off the back of that. Sciacca has only had four starts so should improve but will need to if he is to give the favourite something to think about.

Race 6 Ballarat 7.00 Raffine (7/4)
Denied just a head last time when caught wide and looks sure to go close on all known form; keeps the handy 2kg and a reproduction of that would see her back in the winners enclosure here; most likely winner.
We stay at Ballarat for our second best bet of the day Down Under and RAFFINE has likeable claims off the back of that near miss last time. She is back slightly in trip which should help and she probably only has to run to that level again to get back in the winners circle. Not sure who will emerge as the main threat as looks competitive in behind but Sodalite won well on penultimate start before breaking awkwardly last time and running poorly. Needs to bounce back but would get involved if she does. Rocket Empire is another to note but needs to find more from somewhere.
