NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT KEMPTON ON FRIDAY NIGHT AS WE LOOK TO GET BACK ON TRACK!
Kempton 7.50 Kingsholm (6/4)
Promising type who caught the eye at Wolverhampton before improving again to make a winning handicap debut at the same venue last month; this tougher and has a 7lb rise to contend with but stronger pace can help him settle; one to keep on side.
Looking forward to seeing KINGSHOLM out again for James Fanshawe on Friday night. This promising type won well on handicap debut and a 7lb rise doesn’t look enough to prevent him following up under Oisin Murphy. He hit the line strong the last day and he will get a better pace to aim at here facing some stronger rivals so I can see him finishing best. Tagovailoa ran well to finish second at Lingfield last time but is up 4lb and will find this harder so while he is a danger the favourite should have him covered. Stars In The Night put in a career best last time but needs to reproduce that on polytrack now.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT ASCOT ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON!
Ascot 2.30 Lockdown (15/8)
Sets the clear standard on his two seconds over 5f in June, beaten a neck on both occasions; ran below market expectations when third at Lingfield and has become a bit expensive to follow but gelded since and still has potential.
I promised myself I would avoid LOCKDOWN after getting turned over at Lingfield but on reflection the form of that race hasn’t worked out too badly and he has been gelded now so may improve again. He hasn’t done much wrong and is clearly plenty talented. Cieren Fallon gets his leg up now which is another positive for me. Hard to see who will challenge but George Scott showed there was something to work on when fifth on debut so may step forward enough to make a race of it. May Thai is the most interesting newcomer but he’ll need to run to a pretty high level if he is to make a winning start.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Ascot and Kempton on Friday as we look to get back in the money.
Check out all our bets at Down Royal, Thirsk, Ascot, Haydock, Kilbeggan, Sedgefield and Kempton on Friday
We’ve gone through all SEVEN cards on Friday so here’s what we’re backing. All our selections can be added straight to your bet365 bet slip (just click the orange links)

Down Royal
Swiss Knight 28/1
Secret Return 33/1
Given there are 7 meetings again on Friday we’ve brought back the Each Way Double! Both look too big to me so I would advise backing as singles too as I’ll be surprised if backing them both doesn’t make profit.
Here’s our Notebook Double. These are two horses we’ve been keeping an eye on that have a good chance of winning. The Tracker Double usually pays better than the Daily Double and must be included.
Here you will find our Daily Lucky 15! It includes both Notebook runners, the Eye Catcher and Value Tip. These are some of our strongest bets of the day combined to try and land that big win.
