NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT SCONE IN THE EARLY HOURS OF TUESDAY!
Race 1 Scone 4.35 Banju (4/5)
Done nothing wrong in four starts to date finishing runner-up on each occasion; went down less than a length over 1100m here last time and looks set to make the breakthrough up to this trip for the first time; most likely winner.
It was a disappointing night Down Under on Sunday so hopefully we can bounce back. BANJU looks well placed to open his account at Scone in the early hours of Monday morning. He has finished second on all four starts but there doesn’t look anything wrong with his attitude. The step up in trip can help him find the required improvement needed to win this. It doesn’t look strong so it will be disappointing if he doesn’t take full advantage. Tempel One wasn’t beaten far last time and had excuses so looks most likely to emerge as the danger to the selection. It’s 12/1 bar the front pair so that highlights the weakness of this race.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST RUNS AT QUEANBEYAN EARLY ON TUESDAY MORNING!
Race 4 Queanbeyan 5.35 Eaglehawk (13/8)
Denied just half a length when last seen at Canberra; gone well fresh in the past so the market could prove crucial as to his chances back from four months off the track; only raced twice at this trip winning one and finishing second on the other attempt.
This trip could be the key to EAGLEHAWK and I’m willing to take a chance he will be at his best on return. The money is certainly coming which is reassuring. This is easier than what he has faced before and he could dominate from a low gate under Kayla Nisbet. Trapper Tom won easily and then was beaten narrowly in this grade. Turned out quickly but has to be feared against the selection. Deterge has been running well and should give it his best chance. Strike rate would have to be a worry though, probably run well without quite being good enough. If the favourite is fit and well on return then he should take the catching. Zariz No Other needs to find more but shouldn’t be completely ignored either.
Autralian Daily Double
The Australian Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Scone and Queanbeyan on Tuesday morning.
