The Aussie NAP won again last night and has now won FIVE times in the last six days! Let’s keep this run of form going tonight as we head to Townsville. Also racing from Swan Hill and Grafton.

Race 3 Townsville 6.10 Starsonic (5/6)
Somehow still a maiden but ran a cracker when runner-up last time, setting the pace for much of the race before being edged out; form entitles him to win this so hard to oppose despite the wide gate.
Not the best racing overnight Down Under so slim pickings for the NAP but that being said I fully expect STARSONIC to open his account at Townsville. He has plenty of early dash so should be fast away from the wide alley and take up the running. If that all goes to plan I don’t think there’s anything good enough to peg him back in here. Expect The Best is making his debut but hasn’t had any barrier trials so may end up needing it. The favourite has plenty of experience to draw on so that should count for plenty. Game Of Circles is next in the betting at 9/1 and is hard to fancy so that shows you the lack of strength in depth in this race. Disappointing if the selection can’t get it done.

Race 5 Townsville 7.20 Brad (11/10)
Landed the four-timer impressively at Mackay earlier this month, swooping late from midfield to win by two commanding lengths; 7 career wins in total now and getting weight here should take the beating again.
Hard to look past winning machine BRAD here for Justin Stanley and Trinity Bannon. He is flying right now and did it well last time. He gets 6.5kg weight relief and that gives him a leading chance. Bullion Wolf has been threatening at this level and the 3kg claimer goes on today so looks most likely to step forward as the danger. Beraht missed by a nose at Cairns and then won at this level last time and will try and dictate from the rail. Extra distance maybe not ideal though so that swings it towards the favourite again. Hard to see much else getting involved but I guess Beau Jet shouldn’t be entirely ignored as he is certainly capable and showed that last time.
