NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT REDCAR ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON! LET’S GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS!
Redcar 1.45 Mac Ailey (11/4)
Denied just half a length at Hamilton last month and should win this on that form as had Camile and Zealous trailing well back in behind; came clear from the rest with the winner; plenty in favour.
How can you not back MAC AILEY here? That last run was a big effort and if he reproduces that here he will win. He pulled 10 lengths clear from the third which was Camile so was in a different league to them. I know he doesn’t have the most convincing strike rate but this should fall in his lap. Dutch Coed was second last time having been slowly away and looks the one to chase the selection home. The rest are very moderate so the betting may have it spot on with Paddyplex possibly filling out third spot. This is an obvious opportunity for the favourite to add another win and 11/4 is too good to pass up even on a Saturday with as much good racing as there is.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT FONTWELL ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Fontwell 2.19 Mogestic (7/2)
Defied his ageing years to win well over fences here last month; 7lb higher back over timber but clearly in great form right now and looks good value to turn over the favourite here if in the same form.
King Cool just looks too short here and the in-form old boy MOGESTIC is definitely the value following his gutsy win here last month. He is 7lb higher back over hurdles but is hard to oppose if turning up in similar form. The favourite also won last time but isn’t certain to have the run of it here and a 9lb rise makes life much tougher. Good News was a long way behind the latter last time and has his work cutout to try and close that gap. It’s a very moderate affair so hard to recommend anything else in here with any real confidence. I guess to fill third spot Hot To Trot might be the one. She was a dual point winner and she’s shown ability so should return to form at some point.
