THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT CHELMSFORD ON SATURDAY!

Chelmsford 5.25 Lovely Breeze (11/8)

Smart filly who made a promising start when third at Lingfield and improved on that to open her account in good style at Kempton last month; can do better yet and already sets the standard so should be hard to beat.

Even with a penalty I think LOVELY BREEZE will have too much for these. She only actually won by a neck at Kempton last month but it felt a lot easier than that and I think she can really kick on now. Toronado colt Bullace is open to improvement and should give her a race but I think she’ll have all angles covered if stepping forward again. Glyndebourne makes her debut for John Gosden and is well related but you’d have to think she might need it as the front two in the betting set a fairly good standard on what we’ve seen. Cable News was a big price when down the field on debut and can step forward but a place looks her best hope.

Chepstow 3.22 Fusil Raffles (11/8)

Classy type who won his first 3 starts over hurdles including a Grade 1 in Ireland before losing his way; right back on song on chase debut finishing strongly and this stiffer test looks ideal now.

Such a shame we’ve lost Fiddlerontheroof here but that’s left the door wide open for FUSIL RAFFLES to make it 2-2 over fences. He really impressed with how he went through the race on chase debut and is only going to improve from that especially now going up in trip. Longhouse Sale has been in terrific form and won’t go down without a fight so it should be a good race. Grand Sancy also did well over hurdles so is entitled to have a future in this sphere but he has had a wind op so may need this first outing. The selection has fitness on side and may just end up being better anyway. It will be interesting to see who leads but I think the selection will be better getting a toe in.
