THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT MORNINGTON ON SUNDAY!
Race 4 Mornington 3.40 Art Major (4/5)
Smart type who is yet to make the breakthrough but ran a very good race when second over slightly further here last time; beaten just a head by the right horse in Think Champayne; blinkers should sharpen him up.
Fully expecting ART MAJOR to finally make the breakthrough here. We landed the Aussie NAP last night so hopefully we can make it back-to-back wins on Sunday morning. This gelding has had 9 runs and has placed 5 times. This looks the right race for him to make the breakthrough probably at the main expense of Able Warrior. He has more experience and continues to run to a consistent level but I just think the favourite is open to greater improvement and the blinkers look a good addition. Runaway Train is an unexposed mare after just one run but she was only fifth so will need to improve a fair bit to trouble the market principals. Hard to recommend much else as not a great deal of strength in depth.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT MUSWELLBROOK EARLY ON SUNDAY!
Race 4 Muswellbrook 4.10 Destacado (11/8)
Improving as he gains experience and really impressed with how he won at Wyong on penultimate start running on strongly from off the pace to win well; only beaten a couple of lengths last time and looks to have plenty going for him again.
With the promise of more to come DESTACADO looks the one to be on here. He is very much learning on the job and impressed winning his maiden at Wyong before showing signs of inexperience when fourth at Port Macquarie last time. If he steps forward again which I expect he will he should be extremely hard to beat here. He has only had 5 starts so there should be lots more to come yet. Political will find this easier and like the selection remains open to improvement so looks the one to give him a race. Cosmic Haze was the pace angle but has been scratched now so it will be interesting to see how this one pans out early on.
