The Melbourne Cup delivered overnight as Twilight Payment made every yard. The NAP went in at Flemington and also the Overnight Double landed at 7/2! Back tonight and it’s a busy one.

THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT KYNETON ON WEDNESDAY!

Race 7 Kyneton 5.00 Murillo (11/8)

Returned with a convincing win at Geelong back from four months off the track; never far away last time and knuckled down well; fitter now and can improve so strong claims from a low draw; the one to side with.

The Aussie NAP landed overnight so hopefully we can record a quick-fire double. We head to Kyneton on Wednesday morning and MURILLO looks primed to go in again and make it career win number four. He did it nicely at Geelong back from a break and he should tighten up physically so looks to have leading claims. I can see him going off a short price come post time! Music Addition looks rock solid in terms of a place but I’ll be surprised if he’s good enough to beat the favourite. Sir Kalahad is probably best of the rest. He ran well when second at Kilmore and that form brings him into it. With The Difference and Mistake out the race is cutting up a bit.

Race 5 Goulburn 4.50 Arctic Thunder (11/8)

Promising filly who made it two wins from her first three starts at Bathurst last month, sweeping through from off the pace; wide draw here but the race is cutting up and she looks well placed to go in again.

The progressive ARCTIC THUNDER should prove a cut above these at Goulburn overnight. She is improving fast and is still very much a work in progress. Seduction Queen would have been a big danger but she has been scratched now so it leaves the door wide open for the favourite to make it three wins from four starts. With 7 horses scratched leaving just 9 runners at the time of writing a wide gate doesn’t give her as much to worry about so it’s no surprise to see her odds contracting. Hard to pinpoint an exact danger but Sagacious is a player off that win at Port Macquarie. Tougher ask last time but looks sure to be fighting it out for a place here. Riverstock is another one to note.
