Another Aussie NAP landed overnight so we are going for a FOUR-TIMER on Friday morning. It runs at Cranbourne. We also have racing from Kempsey, Warrnambool, Rockhampton, Albury and Sunshine Coast.

THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS NOW CHASING A FOUR-TIMER!

Race 4 Cranbourne 8.00 Sleepless (6/4)

Improving sort who ran a cracker when beaten narrowly into third at Kyneton so no surprise to see him back to winning ways over further at Kilmore last time; up in trip again and more to come so one to keep on side.

The Aussie NAP continues to go from strength to strength as we landed three in a row last night. We head to Cranbourne looking to land the FOUR-TIMER and SLEEPLESS holds obvious claims. He missed narrowly at this level at Kyneton and then won easily over further at Kilmore. He is improving with experience and has strong claims of recording a third career victory. Just A Joke, Warrior Woman and Hazard can all push forward so he should have a decent target to aim at in the closing stages. The harder they go the better his chance in my opinion. Warrior Woman is probably the danger having won two of her last three but that competition for the lead makes her life tougher.

Race 4 Rockhampton 4.47 El Diez (6/4)

Trialled in preparation for debut and showed there was plenty to work on when third over slightly shorter here last month; began awkwardly and got caught wide; should know more now and expected to improve so obvious chance.

We head to Rockhampton for the Aussie NB overnight and EL DIEZ can make the breakthrough. He showed more than enough ability on debut to suggest he is going to improve enough to win this so I’m happy to keep him on side even at a shortish price. If he gets a cleaner break I think he’ll win. Fizz is a likeable mare and she has experience on side but she has proved frustrating failing to win after 11 starts and just looks to be bumping into one. Homecall has only tried this distance twice so should still have more to offer but again it’s an uphill task to trouble the favourite. Not a great deal of strength in depth here to hard to recommend much else.
