Best Australian Horse Racing bets in Australia on Saturday morning
Crossbar rattled overnight but the NB did land a nice winner at a decent price so hopefully we can build on that on Saturday. Racing from Sandown, Morphettville, Doomben and Ascot.
Alongside our best bets we have race-by-race bets below the main bets if you want to know what we fancy on the rest of the cards (just scroll right down to the bottom).
NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT ASCOT EARLY ON SATURDAY MORNING!
Race 5 Ascot 7.08 Truly Great (5/6)
Promising sort who has won 5 of his 9 starts to date; brought up the hat-trick over 1800m here last month and getting better all the time; back in trip here but could be anything and fancied to go in again.
We head to Ascot early on Saturday morning for the Aussie NAP and TRULY GREAT should be hard to beat again for Chris Parnham as he looks to make it 4 wins in a row. He is back in trip but has gears so that shouldn’t bother him. He has won his last 3 in the style of a very exciting individual so I expect him to win this before going on to better things in time. True Attraction is second fav at the time of writing and this chestnut also has potential. He could only finish sixth behind Luke’s Gold last time though and does need more off the back of that especially up against an exciting horse like the favourite. Flow is quite appealing at bigger odds. He should run his race and may well hit the frame.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT DOOMBEN ON SATURDAY!
Race 3 Doomben 3.23 Hard Labour (10/11)
Talented mare who has won three of her first four starts; swooped from midfield to run them all down at Ipswich last time and improving all the time; looks well placed to complete the four-timer.
Another really promising horse here in HARD LABOUR for Robbie Fradd. This mare is progressive and only looks to be getting better with experience. That was impressive last time and if she runs to that level she should win again. She has an inside draw here and is hard to oppose. Toomai is knocking on the door having finished second the last twice but a similar fate probably waits her again given how exciting the favourite looks. Chapelco won at Sunshine Coast last time but needs to find further improvement to even make a race of it here. Should run his race but I’ll be very surprised if that’s good enough. Hard to see any of the others landing a blow in a race that lacks strength in depth.
Autralian Daily Double
The Australian Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Doomben and Ascot in the early hours of Saturday morning.
