NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON ON SUNDAY AND RUNS AT LEICESTER TO START THE WEEK!
Leicester 2.00 Isolate (4/5)
Very much still a work in progress but impressive the way he went about it at Taunton last time, running on well to win convincingly; sets a clear standard on that form under a penalty; one to keep on side.
The Big Breakaway ran out an impressive winner on chase debut at Cheltenham yesterday and looks a horse with a very bright future. We head to Leicester this afternoon for Monday’s NAP and ISOLATE looks a good bet to follow up for Alan King. He must have tightened up plenty from that Bangor third as he ran on strongly to win well at Taunton last time. He remains open to further improvement and looks well placed to go in again under Tom Cannon. Hey Joe was progressive in bumpers, denied just a head at Huntingdon last month and looks the one to give him a race tackling obstacles for the first time. Ottonian did quite well on the Flat but will need to improve on that Aintree run.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT KEMPTON ON MONDAY EVENING!
Kempton 4.25 Just Beautiful (6/5)
Landed a bit of a gamble winning on debut over C&D last month; she broke smartly and certainly knew her job, making all the running to win by 5 lengths at the line from a decent yardstick; big chance of making it 2-2.
Sticking with the only winner in the field in JUST BEAUTIFUL here. She justified good support on debut for her shrewd yard and looks well placed to follow up and remain unbeaten. She certainly knew her job on debut and that experience can be put to good use here with a distinct lack of pace on. I expect Joey Haynes to push forward again and try and make all. I think it’ll take a good one to peg her back so she is tough to oppose even conceding weight all round. Bated Breath filly Carryonregardless was an eye-catcher when second on debut and is open to improvement now. She looks the most obvious danger in the field. Cityscape filly We’ll Meet Again is the most interesting newcomer.
