NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) HAS WON 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 6 DAYS! RUNS AT HAYDOCK!
Haydock 3.00 Lostintranslation (13/8)
Jumped well and stayed on strongly to beat Bristol De Mai in this last year; excuses in the King George; right back on track when a close third in the Gold Cup; could be even better this season and should defend his crown.
I can’t wait to see LOSTINTRANSLATION out again for Colin Tizzard and this beast of a chaser is strongly fancied to make a winning return. He won this last year jumping notably well and I’m expecting him to be ready to go despite a 253-day absence. He won fresh last season so it shouldn’t be an issue. His two market rivals Clan Des Obeaux and Bristol De Mai are both also making their seasonal returns. He has the most potential of the three for me and no doubt all roads will lead to Cheltenham again and the Gold Cup in March. Clan Des Obeaux has been backed into second favourite but I think it will be Bristol De Mai again who will give him a race. He loves it here and should give his running.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT ASCOT ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Ascot 2.05 Imperial Aura (15/8)
Progressive sort who capped off a fine novice campaign over fences with victory in a fiercely competitive handicap at Cheltenham; picked up where he left off impressing at Carlisle last time; more to come so big chance of the hat-trick.
We head to Ascot for our second best bet on Saturday and the improving IMPERIAL AURA is fancied to come out on top again and complete the hat-trick. He has improved with every run and was a convincing winner at the Festival in March. He returned and jumped well at Carlisle before going clear under David Bass and while this is a good race he has all the momentum and I expect him to have too much for his rivals again. Itchy Feet should give him a race if staying on his feet. I fancied him at Cheltenham where he unseated and he is prone to the odd bad mistake. He looked to need the run on return and should take a big step forward, albeit he needs to if he is to trouble the favourite.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Ascot and Haydock on Saturday afternoon.
