THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND IS NOW CHASING A SIX-TIMER!
Race 2 Gawler 2.55 The Red Sea (7/4)
Threatening to deliver before winning emphatically at Balaklava in this grade last month, five lengths clear at the line; rates the one to beat off the back of that and Pannell an eye-catching booking; obvious shout.
The Aussie NAP is chasing SIX winners in a row and we head to Gawler overnight. THE RED SEA should be hard to stop off the back of that easy win last time. This doesn’t look overly strong so it represents a great chance for him to go in again. Ace Attack was down the field at Morphettville last time but wasn’t beaten too far. Form doesn’t look too bad and he is a genuine each way contender. In terms of the main danger it’s probably I’m Bulletproof who has 8 career wins and has been running well. Act Of Aggression raced on the pace before fading at Strathalbyn and I’m struggling to see her being good enough off the back of that. Nothing else stands out at the bigger prices.

Race 2 Gold Coast 3.48 Brannigan (5/2)
Good looking chestnut who looks very promising; fresh up after five months off when second at Ipswich last time, coming with a late run; fitter now and can keep improving so big chance of making the breakthrough now.
The step up in trip should see further improvement from the likeable BRANNIGAN and he is taken to make the breakthrough here at just the fourth attempt. He has lots of potential and the wide draw is my only concern here but I guess that’s factored into his price which is why we’re getting 5/2? Hopefully he gets nicely settled early before picking them off one by one. Kandanga Miss and Betcha Baby look the two to force the pace and they should go hard. Sun Moon Sky could be a danger. He has been knocking on the door and shouldn’t be far away again. I Am A Beauty is another not to underestimate but again I’m very much with the favourite to get off the mark.
