NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT NORTHAM ON THURSDAY MORNING!
Race 6 Northam 8.30 Doowahdiddy (4/5)
Promising mare who looks set to make the breakthrough here; beaten just a head at Ascot last time and keeps knocking on the door; low gate here so should push forward and dominate; hard to catch.
From a better draw it’s hard to get away from DOOWAHDIDDY here. She hasn’t done much wrong in defeat and ran a cracker last time where the wide draw probably cost her victory. She is bursting to win and this looks a good opportunity so it will be disappointing if she can’t get the job done. Ocean Candy ran a solid race when second to Regal City last time and has to be respected on that piece of form. Big danger if stepping forward again but not sure this trip is ideal. Granita Girl also comes into the reckoning as she was bumped first up after 11 months and did well to finish third last time. Shouldn’t be ignored but again the favourite looks to have the most potential.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT CAIRNS ON THURSDAY!
Race 8 Cairns 7.40 Whyoulikethat (10/11)
Exciting type who made the perfect start winning on debut by 4 lengths; sure to improve off the back of that given it looked a fair race and well placed to make it 2-2; hard to oppose and one to keep firmly on side going forward.
Fully expecting WHYOULIKETHAT to justify favouritism here. This promising sort looked good on debut and is good value to make it 2-2 here. Brad Pengelly takes the ride which is another positive. The only way I can see him getting beat is if it turns tactical but there looks to be good pace on so hopefully it’ll be an end to end gallop. Double Major is the closest in the betting but he will be ridden quietly so will need them to come back to him to be seen to best effect. Should run on well but the selection may already be home and hosed. October Storm hasn’t been far away the last twice and also has to enter calculations but the favourite just looks to be a better prospect going forward.

The Australian Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Cairns and Northam early on Thursday morning.
