NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED AN 11/4 WINNER YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT BANGOR ON FRIDAY!
Bangor 3.10 Minella Drama (1/1)
Showed plenty of promise on first start under Rules when runner-up here in October; quickly improved to win by 11 lengths at Sedgefield last month having travelled strongly throughout; sets a good standard and yard does well in this race.
The NAP won again yesterday so we’re now chasing a hat-trick on Friday and we head to Bangor for our best bet. MINELLA DRAMA is likely to be a short price at Bangor but that’s with good reason. This son of Flemensfirth won really impressively at Sedgefield last time and is clearly a horse heading in the right direction now. He is open to further improvement and already sets a good standard here. The Grey Falco is the closest in the betting and looks the obvious danger to the selection. He sprung a 14/1 upset at Chepstow last month and is also improving so has to be respected. I just think of the pair the favourite has the most potential and is expected to have too much here.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT DONCASTER ON FRIDAY!
Doncaster 2.17 Glynn (11/10)
Irish Point winner who made a very taking Rules debut winning over C&D in January, travelling sweetly and jumping well before moving clear; not seen since and had a wind op and could easily be well-in here; hard to oppose.
Easily the most interesting horse in this field is GLYNN for Nicky Henderson. He could still be anything following a really impressive hurdles debut at Doncaster earlier in the year. He makes his handicap debut off a mark of 134 and could easily be well-in. He is racing against some useful types but he is hard to oppose given the potential he brings to the table. Carys’ Commodity has impressed lately winning his last two but he’s up a further 4lb and this looks tougher so while he’s respected he may just find one or two too good. Ecco disappointed on return but was back to form when third at Ascot 3 weeks ago. He needs more again off the back of that but should step forward and might be the danger.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Doncaster and Bangor on Friday afternoon.
