THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT FLEMINGTON ON FRIDAY MORNING!
Race 8 Flemington 7.55 Fundraiser (7/4)
Good looking sort who has won his last two making it 3 wins from 7 now; keen and wide last time so good effort to come out on top; improving all the time and looks a great bet to complete the hat-trick.
There looks to be good pace on here and that can help FUNDRAISER settle. He raced too freely last time and had a poor track position throughout forced wide. If he drops his head early and can tuck in just off the pace I don’t see how he’ll be beaten as he has some of the strongest form on offer and looks to have the most potential in this field. Definitely one to keep on the right side of going forward. Anirishman has looked progressive with 2 wins from 5 starts and has a low draw so will look to attack. He’s definitely the main danger to the favourite. Caffrey needs to bounce back having been slowly away last time. Better than that so not discounted. Quantum Mechanic will be fitter now, also feared.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT PINJARRA ON FRIDAY!
Race 3 Pinjarra 6.24 Chokslam (2/1)
Likeable mare who hasn’t done much wrong so far without making the breakthrough; finished runner-up 5 times from 12 starts and from an inside draw looks poised to strike over a trip that suits her well.
I’ve got to be with CHOKSLAM to finally make the breakthrough here. She tackled city class last time so this is a great deal easier and she is hitting peak fitness now. Her form stacks up and I expect her to have too much for these. She has finished second quite a few times but there doesn’t look anything wrong with her attitude and I’d actually make her shorter than a 2/1 shot so I’m happy to row in. Comealilbitcloser needs to do better but some of his form is pretty solid so he is respected in opposition. Classy Stratum has been knocking on the door and in a race like this she shouldn’t be far away either. I do think the favourite ticks more boxes though and altogether is a more appealing prospect here.
