THE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED AGAIN YESTERDAY AND IS NOW ON A FIVE-TIMER! RUNS AT SOUTHWELL!
Southwell 12.05 Jump The Gun (11/10)
Useful type who has the best form on offer after going down just half a length over C&D last month; a reproduction of that would see him hard to beat up just 3lb; should get a nice toe into it before trying to move clear up the straight.
The NAP is now going for FIVE winners in a row and we head to Southwell on New Year’s Day where JUMP THE GUN is fancied to justify favouritism. He is proven on the fibresand having won over 6f here off a 3lb lower mark and ran a cracker when denied just half a length by the improving Stone Soldier over C&D last month. If he reproduces that sort of form here then he should win. Thrill Seeker got off the mark at Wolverhampton last time and the step up to a mile is a plus for him but he isn’t proven on the surface and that latest effort wasn’t exactly a standout on the clock. Perfect Swiss is a bigger danger and I think he’ll chase the favourite home in the opener.

Tramore 3.40 Presenting Point (7/4)
Ran to a consistent level over hurdles and while it’s been a learning curve chasing he did leave previous form behind to finish second at Thurles before improving to open his account over C&D last time; up 7lb but definitely the one to beat.
With the original NAP a non runner due to Exeter being abandoned I’ve had to replace the NB too as while Fiveandtwenty does still run at Musselburgh there’s been a couple of non runners so his price has completely collapsed. We now head to Ireland for our second best bet and last time out winner PRESENTING POINT can go in again. He impressed over C&D last time and is clearly going the right way in this sphere now. Capture The Drama has won here before but is on a long losing run. I expect him to run well without being good enough so may well end up second to the favourite. Hard to recommend much else in here as several come with something to prove.
