Race 3 Stony Creek 3.30 Mr Eighty Eight (10/11)
Caught the eye beaten just over a length on debut at Colac last month, making up good ground close home; up in trip now and sure to improve off the back of that so looks hard to beat in this field.
The Aussie NAP landed overnight so even with just the 2 meetings on Tuesday we are confident of landing another winner and we head to Stony Creek where MR EIGHTY EIGHT looks poised to go one better. He ran with an abundance of promise when second on debut and with the penny dropping late coupled with this step up in trip here he should have too much for his rivals. High Maintenance kept on well at Mornington last week to finish second after a promising run at Yarra Valley and looks the obvious danger to the selection. Doom Star will need them to go a really good pace to be seen to best effect. Should be running on late in the day but maybe one for next time rather than today.

Race 4 Muswellbrook 3.35 Still In Fashion (5/4)
Promising type who did all the donkey work on debut before being run down into third; improved last time running on well from midfield to finish second; getting better with experience and finds the right race now.
The NB was scratched last night. We head to Muswellbrook in the early hours of Tuesday morning and STILL IN FASHION can make the breakthrough at the third time of asking. He knocked on the door last time and with further improvement a distinct possibility now he appeals as the most likely winner in this field. Baxter will appreciate the extra yardage and looks one of the dangers. Quite surprised to see him so big in the market at 12/1 so might be worth an each way saver. Jazirat is the closest in the betting but she hasn’t been seen for 6 months and might need this. Looks a bit too short anyway to me. Right Bower is up in trip and also looks capable of a bold showing at a price.
