THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 7 AT PHILADELPHIA ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Race 7 Philadelphia 8.07 Mabel Island (11/10)

Promising filly who has won two of her last three and looked really good galloping rivals into submission when well on top over the extended mile last time; remains open to further improvement and should confirm that recent form.

The US NAP rattled the crossbar last night so hopefully we can get back to winning ways in Phily tonight. MABEL ISLAND looks progressive and I thought there was lots to like about her win here last time. She should get an easy lead again here as strictly holds fellow pacesetter Dilly Dilly Philly on the clock. Always A Queen was readily held in second last time and she may well emerge as the danger again. She’ll be hoping the selection goes too hard but I just can’t see that happening as she judged it well last time and can improve again so definitely looks the most likely winner. Judi Blue Eyes won in this grade on penultimate start and shouldn’t be completely ruled out.

Race 8 Mahoning Valley 9.02 Flat Discount (6/4)

Likeable type who made the perfect start winning by 4 lengths on debut over the extended 5f here in the summer last year; did too much early up in trip on turf next start; back to form in a better race last time; the one to beat now.

The NB is chasing a HAT-TRICK Stateside and FLAT DISCOUNT is strongly fancied to justify favouritism in the lucky last at Mahoning Valley on Tuesday night. She is a filly capable of better and ran well when beaten just 4 lengths in a much better race than this last time. If she is fit and ready to do herself justice she should have too much for these rivals. Magic Credit finished second to the selection when she won on debut and it wouldn’t surprise me if she was the one to chase her home again here. She does need to better than recent form though when she was only fourth and beaten a fair distance. Princess Avril is open to improvement on dirt and also enters calculations.
