THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 5 AT TAMPA BAY DOWNS ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
Race 5 Tampa Bay Downs 7.48 Oyster Box (4/5)
Good looking filly who looks to have a big engine on the evidence of her winning debut at Belmont Park last year; sluggish out the stalls but got a good position up the rail; soon as she was angled out off the bend she picked up readily; promising.
This looks a good race but OYSTER BOX could be a very nice horse in the making. She made the perfect start winning on debut at Belmont Park despite looking rough around the edges. It was particularly impressive the way she picked up once angled off the rail and asked to close. She was at her strongest at the line so the step up to a mile now looks ideal. I think she’ll win this before going on to better things. In terms of a danger it’s probably Torsie’s Charm as this filly won impressively at Ellis Park but has been highly tried since and remains open to improvement on turf. She might just be bumping into one here though. Of the rest Tete A Tete is also entitled to some respect.

Race 5 Delta Downs 8.43 Lighthawk (11/10)
Turned over as favourite last time but proven at a much higher level than this and his win prior to that was quite impressive driving clear by nearly 7 lengths at Lone Star; early speed should see him dominate; tough to oppose.
The NB continues to go from strength to strength Stateside and we’re looking to land a FOUR-TIMER on Wednesday night. We head to Delta Downs and LIGHTHAWK is strongly fancied to get himself back in the winners enclosure. He wasn’t at his best last time but freshened up since if he returns to the form that saw him sprint clear at Lone Star in July last year he will have these all in trouble. He likes to get on the speed and grind his rivals into submission and I can see that playing out here. Beta Lover caught the eye when second at Louisiana Downs so it was no surprise to see him go one better on his next start. Not seen since but looks the danger if transferring that form back on to dirt here.
