Southwell 2.35 Notation (11/10)
Poet’s Voice filly who powered clear to win impressively over C&D when last seen; up 10lb for that but deservedly so with the promise of more to come; looks one to keep firmly on side for now.
The handicapper has had his say following a 16-length romp over C&D last month but even still NOTATION could have lots more to come on this surface given her action and she is one to keep on the right side of today and going forward. Oliver Stammers has looked good value for his 5lb claim in recent times and I expect him to be positive on this filly and look to make all. Arabian King is by New Approach and he completed a hat-trick on this surface early last year. He looked to need the run at Wolverhampton and if fitter here will be the one to give the favourite most to think about. Mukha Magic has struck over this C&D in the past but was below form when third last time and has a bit to prove.

Southwell 3.05 Maykir (11/8)
Likeable sort who is a 4-time C&D winner and he comes here chasing a hat-trick following an impressive win over track and trip last time; turned out quickly under a penalty but sure to go close.
With just two meetings on Sunday we stay at Southwell for our second best bet and MAYKIR should prove hard to beat. He has been in cracking form lately and the hat-trick beckons now. Marco Ghiani is replaced with George Rooke who is also good value for his 5lb claim. Grimsthorpe Castle is back in trip and looks the pace angle but is probably in the handicappers grip. Dramatista is the danger as she was a good second at Newcastle and should be suited by this test. She is yet to taste success after 8 starts but has been knocking on the door recently so it shouldn’t be too far away. False Id has to be respected but often flatters to deceive so is again passed over here.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They both run at Southwell on Sunday afternoon as we look to bounce back!
