THE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED AGAIN YESTERDAY AND WE’RE NOW ON FOR A HAT-TRICK!
Meydan 6.00 Lazuli (13/8)
Blasted onto the scene winning a Listed race at Sandown head in chest in the summer last year; back to his best to win a Group 3 at Newbury in September; progressive and with more to come looks the one to beat.
The NAP is chasing a hat-trick on Thursday and we head over to Dubai where LAZULI looks the one to beat for the boys in blue. His form was progressive last term and I feel we haven’t seen the best of him just yet. He had Equilateral held in third when winning a Group 3 at Newbury in September last year and should confirm that form here. The latter has won over this C&D so is feared most but I’m definitely in the camp of Appleby’s 4yo. Ekhtiyaar is a smart son of Bated Breath and he also has to be noted but we haven’t seen him for 10 months and I think he’ll need this as he’s never won fresh before. It will be interesting to see how he runs though with an eye to the future.

Wincanton 1.50 Supreme Escape (2/1)
Likeable sort who left his chase debut firmly behind winning gamely over the extended 2m3f in testing conditions at Chepstow last month; unexposed as a stayer over fences and should be lots more to come; hard to oppose.
I thought James Bowen gave SUPREME ESCAPE a great ride to win at Chepstow last month as he stayed on strongly to edge ahead and win by a nose at the line. This extra yardage should be right up his street and with Adam Wedge taking over in the saddle he is tough to get away from here. He won over 3 miles over hurdles and should have lots more to come up in trip chasing now. Favori De Sivola won nicely at Taunton albeit just a neck in it and he can improve too so he looks the main danger. Eragon De Chanay was third here last month but needs more off the back of that to get involved here. Broadclyst bounced back from a fall last time and might outrun his odds, could be value for a place.

The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Wincanton and Meydan (Dubai) on Thursday.
