NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT TAUNTON OVER JUMPS ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Taunton 2.10 Yala Enki (10/11)
Won this convincingly last year and unlucky not to make a winning return at Cheltenham; back on track from a fall at Aintree when third in the Welsh National last time; form pick and should be staying on strongest.
The loveable YALA ENKI certainly isn’t getting any younger but he’s proven himself better than ever this season running two big races at Cheltenham and Chepstow when third in the Welsh National behind Secret Reprieve last time. If he runs up to that sort of level again it should be good enough to see these off. He won this race last year and is just 4lb higher this time around so looks to have plenty going for him. If The Cap Fits would be a big danger if jumping cleanly and staying the trip but there is enough doubt there for me to oppose him with the favourite. He will be staying on dourly when the others have cried enough and looks the one to be on. Rock The Kasbah would have to be best of the rest.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT ASCOT ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Ascot 3.35 Politologue (6/4)
Back to his best with a dominant performance in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March; as good as ever winning the Tingle Creek on return by 7 lengths; will lead again and the field have their work cutout to peg him back.
I can’t wait for this year’s renewal of the Clarence House as it looks a cracker! POLITOLOGUE will go hard off the front and it’s going to take a good one to reel him in. He dominated the field to win the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March and backed that performance up returning from 269 days off the track to win the Tingle Creek at Sandown last month. He looks to be the best 2 mile chaser in training right now and another win beckons here. Defi Du Seuil just hasn’t look right since winning this 12 months ago and was behind the selection at the Festival. He would obviously be a danger if back to his best but I just can’t chance that on what I’ve seen.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Taunton and Ascot over jumps on Saturday afternoon.
