NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT LINGFIELD ON WEDNESDAY AS WE LOOK TO GET IT BACK FIRING!
Lingfield 1.15 Power Of States (5/4)
Progressive sort who made it 4 wins from his last 5 powering clear impressively at Wolverhampton earlier this month; 5lb penalty makes life tougher but could still have more to offer on the AW and worth keeping on side.
The NAP is on a tough run and is nowhere near the standards we usually hold so hopefully we can get back on track. It’s not been helped by the majority of meetings being abandoned but I won’t make excuses. We head to Lingfield on Wednesday afternoon and POWER OF STATES is a standout for Hugo Palmer. This horse has just got better and better and was really impressive last time. He has to transfer that form to Lingfield now but if he does he will put these to the sword. Sky Defender is a very good yardstick and he will pick up the pieces if the selection fails to fire. Might even be worth backing the reverse forecast as a saver?
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT KEMPTON ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
Kempton 7.50 Lady Quickstep (2/1)
Sir Prancealot filly who cashed in off a reduced mark to win convincingly at Wolverhampton earlier this month; should improve physically given that was her first start since July; big chance under a 5lb penalty.
She does have a bit to find on the figures but I still want to be with LADY QUICKSTEP now she has her head in front. She did it really well lat Wolverhampton 9 days ago and given she will tighten up for the run and could improve again she is a confident selection to go in again despite a 5lb penalty. This is full of fairly exposed handicappers and it will be disappointing if she can’t account for them. Gold Brocade will be the one to benefit if the favourite does go off the rails. She is a consistent sort but does find it hard to win. Ben Curtis has been booked for the ride which is a positive and she is 2lb below her last winning mark. Napping is also respected but does come here with a bit to prove.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Lingfield and Kempton on Wednesday as we look to get back on track.
