NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS AT SOUTHWELL ON THE AW ON TUESDAY NIGHT!
Southwell 7.10 Thrave (5/4)
Taken well to Fibresand winning 2 of his 4 starts this season; beat a good field over C&D on penultimate start and not beaten far last time; hard to oppose in current form and should be hard to beat here.
The NAP was denied by the smallest of margins yesterday so hopefully we can get firmly back on track tonight at Southwell. THRAVE beat Defence Treaty over C&D last month and that looks the form to focus on. He ran well in defeat last time and can take care of this field if in the same form. Defence Treaty is 6lb worse off so it’s hard to see him reversing the form and he is the second fav in the betting so that says a lot. Finoah was below par at Wolverhampton and will need to better that to even launch a challenge. Al Suil Eile won here last month and was poorly placed when disappointing latest so may well emerge as the biggest danger to the selection.

Newcastle 12.55 Busy Street (15/8)
Likeable type who was a very good horse on the Flat; impressed winning one of these over C&D last month and a penalty won’t be enough to stop him if in the same mood here; taken to give weight and a beating to his rivals again.
With limited racing on Tuesday we head to Newcastle for our second best bet of the day and last time out winner BUSY STREET can go in again for Rebecca Menzies. This horse did well on the Flat so it was no surprise to see him win one of these ‘Jumpers’ Bumper’ races over C&D last month. He is turned out quickly under a penalty and rates the one they all have to beat again. I loved the way he travelled and he put it to bed in a matter of strides. Stormin Norman is the danger as I think he’s in form as he just got caught too far back when fourth at Catterick last time. Gets weight off the fav but lacks match practise and might just need this. Away At Dawn is also respected.
