Improving filly who ran her best race to date when beaten just half a length over 5f here last month; this trip suits her better and big chance of making the breakthrough if stepping forward again; keep safe.
No luck for the US NAP last night but we’ve still had 2 winners in the last 3 days and we head to Gulfstream tonight as we look to get back on track. SIMPLY THE BEST impressed last time over an inadequate trip so back up in distance she looks to have a major chance of making the breakthrough now. This might not take a great deal of winning so she is a confident selection to justify favouritism. Systematic caught the eye when beaten less than a length last time and she will be the danger if building on that. Causingahullbaloo has also shown a reasonable level of form and she will be thereabouts if improving on that last run but I think the selection has the greater potential.

Race 3 Mahoning Valley 6.40 Forty Pieces (6/5)
Likeable filly who was progressing nicely prior to running below par up to a mile on turf last time; back down to 6f now contesting her easiest assignment to date she looks to have a great chance of shedding the maiden-tag.
This looks all about FORTY PIECES here. If you take away her last run she would be a really short price to win this maiden. She just struggled going up in trip trying turf for the first time latest and I think that’s best forgiven. Back down to 6f will suit and she is a leading player in this field. Strictly on the figures she should win and win quite comfortably. Bella Basora is a nice looking filly who wasn’t disgraced in second last time. She is interesting but needs more to challenge the favourite. Passionate Heart may emerge as the greater danger as she is also lightly raced and could be suited by how this race pans out. Nothing much appeals at bigger prices in a race lacking depth.

The Evening Double consists of both the NAP & NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Mahoning Valley and Gulfstream on Wednesday night.
