Race 2 Mackay 4.12 Brad (4/5)

Talented sort who has 8 wins from 26 starts; improved from his return when third at Rockhampton to score at Townsville latest; fitter again and should have all angles covered here if in the same form.

The likeable BRAD dictated at Townsville and ran out a convincing winner. He drops back in trip here but doesn’t lack speed and has a low draw so should go right on with it. His record speaks volumes with 8 wins from 26 starts and if he runs to the same form he should win here. He is entitled to improve if anything as he’ll be fitter now. Durif is a lively danger as he has a decent record with 7 wins from just 17 starts. He has won 2/4 fresh so he is the one I expect to chase the favourite home. The likelihood is he’ll be conceiving first run and it’s going to take a big performance to peg back the selection. Our Boy Pendles has the form to be bang there but is passed over on this occasion. Might need it.

Race 4 Hawkesbury 4.40 Green Kudos (10/11)

Promising type who looked to need the experience when down the field on debut at Doomben last month; improved on that to finish second at Kembla Grange last time beaten just less than 2 lengths; can improve and take this out.

In a weakish race it’s hard to look past GREEN KUDOS here. He improved to finish runner-up last time and if he steps forward again he should make the breakthrough. He has a wide gate but Nash Rawiller should get him out early and push forward. He might always be dictating these as he certainly looks to have the class. Bullet force showed promise on debut when sixth at Muswellbrook and could prove best of the rest. Like the selection he has a poor draw out wide though and if he doesn’t go forward early things could get tricky. Legal Challenge showed promise last campaign and is capable of improving further so also enters calculations. Needs a big step forward to launch a challenge you’d think.
