Paco Boy gelding who really caught the eye when denied a run here last month having been slowly away; only beaten 2 and a bit lengths; drops into a claimer now so big chance of rediscovering the winning groove.
Down in class I’ve got to be with RECTORY ROAD here. I know he isn’t the most trustworthy of individual but he has been holding his own in handicaps and this represents a drop down in grade now contesting a claimer. It looks a guilt-edged opportunity for him to get his head back in front and that’s certainly being reflected in the market as we speak. With just the 1 meeting surviving the weather he has to be my best bet of the day so fingers crossed he obliges. Contingency Fee won at Lingfield last month but hung under pressure when well held last time so has a bit to prove. He has been a notable negative in the betting so might be worth avoiding. Nine Elms looks the danger!

Wolverhampton 7.45 Eldelbar (5/2)
Good looking sort who bolted up on the bridle over 7f here last month; proved that was no fluke winning easily again last time and even under a double penalty from a wide draw he looks hard to oppose.
The hat-trick seeking ELDELBAR looks set to strike again. This is tougher under a double penalty from stall 13 but he is at the top of his game right now and he has looked push-button on his last two starts so the drop back a furlong in trip doesn’t concern me massively. He has improved no end the last twice and almost holds a class-edge on these now albeit at a lowly level. Choosey brings winning form to the table having struck over C&D last time with the selection back in second. The fav has looked a different horse since though so I’m confident he can reverse that tonight. Griggy goes well over track and trip and makes some appeal at a double-figure price. Might be a bit of value to place.
