THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) LANDED AGAIN OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT NEWCASTLE!

Race 4 Newcastle 4.10 Larkspur Run (10/11)

Promising filly who was well backed on debut but inexperience probably cost her finishing second; improved to fill the same position last time; definitely more to come and should get a nice toe into this.

Another winning Aussie NAP last night so we have now landed 8 FROM OUR LAST 9 and we’ll be hoping the run continues on Thursday. We head to Newcastle for our best bet Down Under and LARKSPUR RUN looks poised to go one better. She is a promising filly who hasn’t done much wrong in two starts to date but gives the impression there is plenty more to come. She will be more streetwise now and should get carried into the race from a good draw with Excela Bella likely to push forward. Mikasa began awkwardly on debut and just looked to need the experience when fifth at Rosehill. That was a good race though and she will find this easier so she looks the main danger to the selection.

Race 6 Doomben 6.33 Katy’s Daughter (5/4)

Likeable mare who landed back-to-back wins before returning with a very good second at Gold Coast, beaten just a head; scope to improve again and if she does she looks a danger to all with a handy 3kg claim.

I’m sticking with the in-form KATY’S DAUGHTER here. She already has 5 wins from 16 starts and doesn’t look done improving yet. That was a real likeable run again last time and I think she’s up to making it 3 wins from her last 4. Voila hasn’t been seen for four months but her form stacks up albeit with only 5 wins from 33 starts but she will be there to exploit any weaknesses in the favourite if there are any. Banker material for a place. I’ve Gotta Nel won two in a row before disappointing last time fading badly. If he bounces back he shouldn’t be far away but he is starting to look exposed. Still respected though with 7 wins from 42 starts. Tardis is another one who shouldn’t be too far away.
