NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER IN IRELAND AT PUNCHESTOWN ON MONDAY!
Punchestown 4.30 Humble Glory (15/8)
Fame And Glory mare who came clear from the rest with an improver when runner-up over two and a half miles here last month; open to progress especially going up in trip and looks to have been found a great opportunity.
I’m surprised HUMBLE GLORY isn’t clear fav here. She is vying for favouritism with The West Awaits at the time of writing but I think her claims are far superior and she should be winning this. She won a bumper here before improving when second on hurdles debut last month. The extra yardage here is sure to suit and she ticks plenty of boxes for me. The West Awaits makes her hurdle debut now and she should have a future but she lacks experience and that could prove costly. It does look between the pair with Chenery next in at 8/1. She was a good second when last seen and if she builds on that she should prove best of the rest. Fantasia Roque is also worth a watch up in trip but maybe not for today.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT AYR ON MONDAY!
Ayr 3.40 Doyen Breed (3/1)
Likeable type who has showed improved form to finish second the last twice; big eye-catcher when going down just two lengths on return and stepped forward again when denied a neck last time; hard to oppose in first-time cheekpieces.
The money is already coming for DOYEN BREED and I think he looks to be well placed to belatedly get back to winning ways. His recent form is progressive and if he takes another step in the right direction he should find himself in the winners enclosure. First-time cheekpieces look a good move and I want to keep him on side at 3/1 at the time of writing. Seven Eye Bridge is the one I fear most. He made the breakthrough at Carlisle and backed that up with a solid second over C&D last time. He goes handicapping now so has to be feared. Billy Ray was second at Wetherby last time but he isn’t the most convincing. Step up in trip will help but I’d rather take him on especially at the odds.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They both run over Jumps at Ayr and Punchestown on Monday afternoon.
