Showed a good change of gear to leave rivals standing over this trip at Southwell last week; that was a career best so hard to oppose back over a C&D she has won over in the past; will take the beating.
After back-to-back winners the NAP failed to fire on Sunday so hopefully we can get back on track as we start a new week. Last time out winner JEANS MAITE looks well placed to follow up. She won stylishly at Southwell last week and if she repeats that sort of effort it should be enough to see this field off. She is turned out quickly and gets to race in a 0-50 so it really is another good opportunity to strike while the iron is hot. Captain Ryan has won four times over this track and trip and ran well when second to Amazing Amaya last time. He shouldn’t be far away but certainly isn’t getting any younger now aged 10. Andre Amar is on a long losing run but has first-time cheekpieces on now and might place.

Leopardstown 4.30 It’s Only A Number (15/8)
Better than ever winning eased down at Down Royal last month; not much wrong with that form so obvious chance of following up if in the same mood here despite a 12lb rise; should get a nice toe into this and can strike again.
It will be interesting to see how the betting goes on IT’S ONLY A NUMBER but he has to be my selection to win again. That was a career best on the numbers last time and even under a 12lb rise he is the one they all have to beat here. He won eased down last time and that wasn’t a bad field. This is probably a bit more competitive but if he repeats that he will go very close. He is around 15/8 at the time of writing and I’d like to see some support given connections. Hopefully come post time he is more an 11/8 chance. Krisquin has been the one nibbled at early and he has won over C&D but he was thrashed last time and has a bit to prove. The first-time visor might help but best watched for me.
