Clonmel 3.32 Envious Editor (5/6)
Expensive point winner who has failed to live up to expectations so far over hurdles but this looks his best opportunity to date and with drying ground also in his favour he should belatedly make the breakthrough.
The NAP was back to winning ways yesterday as Eaglehill overcame a bit of trouble in the run to win going away at Plumpton. He looks a real improver now and might be one to follow going forward. We head to Ireland on Tuesday as we bid to follow up and ENVIOUS EDITOR should take care of this field. There isn’t much quality on show and he won’t get many better opportunities to win a race. He hasn’t been seen since finishing a creditable fourth at Naas and with drying ground in his favour I think he’ll finally open his account. Fix The Bill has shown enough in 3 runs over hurdles to be some sort of a danger but I’ll be surprised if he beats the favourite. Tipping Away probably best of the rest back in trip.

Huntingdon 2.35 Ajero (1/1)
Half-brother to Charbel and made a bright start over hurdles going down narrowly over C&D in September; won 3 in a row since and beat some good horses in the process; 5lb rise fair and with more to come he should go in again.
We head to Huntingdon on Tuesday for our second best bet and the Kim Bailey-trained AJERO should be hard to beat as he looks to make it four in a row. He made a winning handicap debut at Market Rasen last month and a 5lb rise doesn’t look enough to anchor him in this small field. I expect him to go straight to the front under David Bass and while Haafapiece will probably come there looking like he’s going best I expect the selection to keep pulling out more as he has a likeable attitude and has potential to do better. Scarlet Dragon has a questionable attitude but does arrive fit from a couple of AW runs so has to be respected. Sofia’s Rock is the outsider of the field and needs to do better.
