Race 8 Pakenham 10.30 Groovy Kinda Love (4/5)

Caught the eye running on strongly from off the pace to finish second on return at Sandown; well supported last time and justified that winning impressively over C&D earlier this month; well placed here with more to come.

She’s unlikely to be much of a price come post time but even at 4/5 at the time of writing I think she’s a decent bet GROOVY KINDA LOVE should be hard to peg back here. She was ridden forward last time and dominated them to win impressively. This is obviously tougher but under similar tactics with no clear pace on she could take some holding. She is open to improvement after just 6 starts and it’s no surprise to see her a strong favourite here to follow up. Scarlett Heart also brings winning form to the table after winning narrowly at Stawell last time. If she builds on that she will be the one to chase the selection home. Off Shores Pearl at a price probably looks best of the rest.

Race 6 Wagga 6.15 Fourmadec (5/4)

Good looking chestnut filly who made a bright start winning on debut here despite being slowly away; likely improved to chase home Impressive Lass at Canberra last time and with more to come looks the one to beat here.

I know FOURMADEC was probably expected to win last time but I thought it was a good effort on a track that didn’t really suit and with further improvement she is easily the one to beat in this field. She is looking to make it 2 from 3 and has a progressive look to her profile already. She has a low draw here so should always be well positioned. Special Privilege ran a nice race when second last time and if he improves on that he should give the selection something to think about. Looks most likely to finish second. Sisseck won by a nose on return but failed to back that up last time and is perhaps best fresh? Needs more anyhow. The Deepest Secret and Stand To Attention look solid for a place.
