NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS OVER IN DUBAI AT MEYDAN ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON!
Meydan 1.30 Space Blues (6/4)
Classy sort who has a potent turn of foot; made it five straight winning the Turf Sprint in Saudi Arabia last month; will be hoping they go hard so he has a good target to aim at; very much the one they all have to beat.
They went a good clip at Riyadh last time and that suited SPACE BLUES who travelled up strongly before switching outside. He came home really well and Buick always looked confident. That was his fifth win in a row and he looks a horse at the top of his game. He should tighten up physically from that outing and everything suggests he’ll prove hard to beat here. Khaadem is obviously a lively danger with the ground fast but I’ll be surprised if anything can hold off that strong late finish from the selection. Equilateral has done well to win his last two but this requires another step up so he needs more. Final Song is a filly going the right way but she will also need to show more to land a blow here.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS ON THE AW AT KEMPTON ON SATURDAY!
Kempton 2.45 May Sonic (9/4)
Progressive having won 3 of his last 4; returned from a break better than ever to make all the running over C&D last month, reading seeing them off in the closing stages; 4lb rise but feeling is there is more to come if called on.
It’s hard to go against MAY SONIC here as he bids to make it 4 wins from his last 5. He clearly likes it here with a course record of 712511 and he’s 2-2 over track and trip. A 4lb rise shouldn’t be enough to anchor him and everything points towards another big run under positive tactics. Streamline is also a horse on the up and he produced a career best to win at Wolverhampton last time. He didn’t have much luck behind the selection on penultimate start so looks the danger. Great Ambassador was a bit frustrating for Ralph Beckett but also has to be considered for his new yard following that good second when last seen behind Light And Dark. Gulliver would need everything to drop right to figure.
