Well bred sort who brought up the hat-trick in gutsy fashion at Wolverhampton last month; struck over C&D prior to that and given he is lightly raced there should be more to come yet; 3lb rise looks lenient and four-timer beckons.
The NAP won impressively on Saturday and we head to Southwell on the fibresand on Sunday. It’s hard to look past KANGAROO POINT here. This son of Australia is thriving right now and he has plenty going for him as he looks to make it four straight. He showed a good attitude to dig deep and prevail last time and back over this C&D where he was so impressive on penultimate start he is taken to go in again. Russian Rumour gained her first AW win here in November and while she is off a career-high mark on return up in trip she has to be respected and looks the danger. Thawry was a creditable second over C&D last time but he needs more to trouble the selection. Smart Lass also has it to do.

Bumped into a horse who has won his next two impressively on return over hurdles and improved back over fences landing back-to-back wins at Southwell; quite idle but finds plenty off the bridle and 7lb penalty not enough to stop him.
The hat-trick surely beckons for FIRST CLASS RETURN here? He can sometimes need a bit of encouragement to go about his job but there’s no doubting the engine and off the back of two impressive wins he has to get the vote to go in again under a 7lb penalty. He really kicked for home 2 out last time and was never really in any danger. Both Zee Man and Path To Freedom are fair yardsticks but neither have been crying out that they’re going to produce improved form. Zee Man has proved disappointing failing to complete the last twice so he’ll just be hoping for a clear round. Path To Freedom bumped into Mance Rayder last time but isn’t entirely straightforward and needs to do better to challenge.
