Redcar 1.10 Headingley (5/6)
Dawn Approach colt who was a big eye-catcher on debut when denied just a head at Ayr; quickly improved on that to win impressively at Chelmsford; sure to do better and looks hard to oppose here on return.
There was a lot to like about the way HEADINGLEY won on just his second start and with improvement a near certainty he is hard to get away from here. He was visually impressive last time and the clock backed that up. With scope to keep improving he is strongly fancied to make a winning return. I’m expecting him to take this before going on to better things. Villeurbanne has shown promise on first two starts and should appreciate the step up to a mile now. He should run his race but just looks to be bumping into one on the day. Carter Cowboy is the type to do better in handicaps so probably best watched but definitely has potential for the future so it will be interesting to see how he runs.

Wolverhampton 4.45 Ehrmann (13/8)
Dragon Pulse gelding who left debut run well behind winning comfortably down to the minimum trip at Southwell last month; sets a high standard on that and is hard to oppose with the strong likelihood of more to come.
Given EHRMANN went off fav on debut at Windsor I think the yard have always thought this horse could be quite smart. He finished down the field on that occasion but the experience wasn’t lost on him. Back to the minimum trip at Southwell last time he was an impressive winner, striking the front as the furlong pole approached and galloping on strongly. He sets a good standard on that piece of form and with more to come he is hard to get away from. Equiano filly Pretty Shiftwell showed ability when third on debut and can do better with that under her belt. She is probably the most likely danger. Atiyah and Kevin The Minion should run well without being good enough.
