NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 6 AT GOLDEN GATE FIELDS TONIGHT!

Race 6 Golden Gate Fields 12.10 Galwalksintoabar (4/5)

Smart filly who has won 2 of her last 3 and 3 of her last 5; kicked clear in the closing stages last time and looked a horse at the top of her game; potentially still capable of better and fully expected to go in again.

Not much of a price about Thursday’s NAP Stateside but GALWALKSINTOABAR should take an awful lot of beating. This filly has a progressive look to her form and if she finds more she will have too much for these. She faces a bit of competition for the lead but on the clock she will be finishing best. It wouldn’t surprise me if she took a toe into the race before proving the stronger. Family Trips holds Lady Chrome on that last run and on previous form she was held by the selection so while she is one of the dangers it’s quite a big task to try and reverse those placings. Whoa Nessie landed a hat-trick when last seen in October and did win when last seen on this surface but she might need the run.

Race 6 Gulfstream 8.24 Tapping (6/4)

Promising colt who made a bright start winning easily on debut over track and trip; returned from a lengthy absence to finish third last month and on reflection looked to need that; expected to strip much fitter now and hard to oppose.

We head to Gulfstream tonight for our second best bet and TAPPING can get back to winning ways. This colt looked a nice prospect winning on debut and returning from 387 days off the track he was entitled to need that run last time. He only weakened in the closing stages and should strip a lot fitter now. Given he has scope to progress he gets the vote to come out on top here. No Commission won well on penultimate start in a better race than this but could never land a blow switched to turf last time. I think he’ll only win if the favourite fails to give his true running. Competitive Hero probably best of the rest but he ran no sort of race at Aqueduct last time and has enough to prove.
