THE US NAP (BEST BET) LANDED AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND IS NOW ON A HAT-TRICK!

Race 4 Belterra Park 7.02 Scooby Drew (4/5)

Promising sort who made a perfect start winning on debut over track and trip earlier this month; slowly away but quickly picked up the bridle and rushed to the lead and made rest; sure to improve and well placed to go in again.

The US NAP won again last night so we’re now chasing a HAT-TRICK to start a new week. We head to Belterra Park and SCOOBY DREW should take a lot of beating as he bids to make it a perfect 2-2. He impressed over track and trip last time and if he breaks better it’s going to take a big performance to peg him back. He has speed and stamina and is hard to fault off the back of that initial effort. Blanda is exposed in comparison to the selection but he does have experience. He hasn’t been seen for 170 days and usually needs the run so could briefly pose a threat before backing out of it. Mymonstersforreal ran no sort of race last time but his 6 length romp before that was impressive.

Race 2 Louisiana Downs 9.11 Awe Shackle (13/8)

Hard to fault recent form bumping into a good horse three starts back before opening his account on penultimate start; denied just a neck back on turf last time and if he builds on that again he should get back in the winners enclosure.

The US NB landed last night so confidence is high heading into a new week. We head to Louisiana Downs on Monday and AWE SHACKLE can make it 2 wins from his last 3. He is in great form right now and should be rewarded for his consistency. He won well on penultimate start and couldn’t have done much more without winning last time, beaten just a neck at the line. If he builds on that he can see this field off and comfortably too. Smokey Harbor is the closest in the betting but he was beaten 6 lengths last time. His turf form does read well though so he could improve and will likely make a race of it. First Rate was scratched by the vet when last seen but is also a threat if bouncing back.
