NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT CARLISLE ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Carlisle 7.15 Injazati (1/1)
Night Of Thunder colt who made a really bright start running on strongly for third once the penny dropped; sure to know more now and sets the standard on that so with improvement to come should go a couple of places better.
Derab looks a really smart horse so finishing third to him on debut was a really promising start for INJAZATI and with usual improvement I think he’ll win this. He was held up that day and had to be pushed along before the penny dropped. He started to make headway with about 2f to go and was nearest finish under Louis Steward. He is expected to be much more streetwise now and it’s no surprise to see him figure prominently in the betting. Praiano cost 500,000 guineas as a yearling and is by Dubawi so looks an interesting newcomer. He could obviously pose a threat but he’s going to need to know his job to beat this favourite as he should be a lot sharper. Noble Crusade could also run well.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT AT SANDOWN TONIGHT!
Sandown 5.45 Bad Company (3/1)
Likeable type who rattled off four wins in a row up to this trip at the end of last season and nothing wrong with his return run when beaten just a length by the right horse at Windsor; more to come and soft ground holds no fears.
This looks all about BAD COMPANY for me as he came into his own upped to this trip last season and he ran a cracker staying on strongly at the death beaten just a length on return. He will strip fitter now and is expected to have too much for these in the closing stages. Noble Masquerade was denied a run when third at Nottingham but didn’t exactly back that up when fifth at Windsor last time. He was well backed though and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him step forward again and emerge as the main danger. Of the rest Sweet Reward could run a nice race. He is relatively lightly raced and didn’t shape badly when third at Newbury. Proven in soft ground too which is another positive.
