THE US NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT LONE STAR ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Race 4 Lone Star 9.59 Shifty Henry (1/1)

Likeable type who looks at the top of his game right now; won 2 of his last 3 and found plenty under pressure to assert close home latest; back down to the minimum now but has good early speed so hard to peg back again.

We head to Lone Star tonight for our best bet Stateside and SHIFTY HENRY can take care of these. He has won 5 of his last 7 and certainly knows where the winning post is. I like the angle of him dropping back a furlong in trip given how alertly he was away last time. If he reproduces that level of form here he should have too much for these rivals. Scarlettsblackjack is down in grade and won on penultimate start so looks the obvious danger. He was thrashed last time though so does have a bit to prove off the back of that against a horse clearly thriving right now. Onward looked progressive when last seen but he usually needs his first run back so is entitled to strip fitter for this.

Race 4 Santa Anita 10.41 Circle Of Honour (1/1)

Improving filly who has knocked loudly on the door the last twice and ran a very solid race again last time; more to come for sure and if she does progress she looks poised to make the breakthrough; big chance.

This might not take a great deal of winning so I make CIRCLE OF HONOUR a strong play. She has done little wrong in just 4 starts to date and knocked on the door again last time. Summer Rose looks the pace angle and she should give the selection a nice toe in. Moreavino should strip fitter for her reappearance run earlier this month but she is going to need to show more on what we’ve seen to pose a threat to the selection. Sugar Kisses is held by the selection on that last run but can’t be entirely ruled out. Dynamite Queen was pulled up in that race so has enough to prove at present. All in all it looks a very good opportunity for the favourite to open her account.
