Redcar 2.55 Barging Thru (6/4)
Promising colt who is a half-brother to Caspian Queen and Excel Power; made the perfect start winning on debut albeit by just a nose at Chelmsford; did well to win given how green he was; will know more now and the one to beat again.
Despite showing clear signs of inexperience BARGING THRU finished best to make a winning start at Chelmsford last month and with that experience under his belt he can make it 2-2 here under a penalty. He just looked a bit clueless when Hollie Doyle asked him to go and win the race and took time to gather himself before running on strongly again. He is open to plenty of improvement and switching to turf for the first time I expect him to step forward again and defy a penalty. King Of Speed was third to the selection last time and that was also his debut so he can improve too. He looks the one to chase the selection home. Emporium Flame looks to be the most interesting newcomer.

Leicester 2.15 Celestial Queen (2/1)
Dark Angel filly who improved to win convincingly at Redcar up to a mile for the first time last month; nothing wrong with her second at Ripon last time; open to further improvement and looks well placed to get back to winning ways.
Having had just two starts over a mile CELESTIAL QUEEN is open to further improvement and I’ll be disappointed if she doesn’t take this out. She won impressively enough at Redcar and was only beaten a length and a half at Ripon last time. With more to come she should take a lot of beating here. Canoodled needs an end-to-end gallop to be seen to best effect so if Sunset Memory and Florence Street take each other on it could set up nicely for her. She is definitely the danger but I think the selection has stronger claims in current form. Florence Street has ability but is clearly a bit tricky with the hood on already. More to come but this looks quite tough for her to make the breakthrough.
