Promising filly who was slowly away on return here in April and stepped forward from that to finish runner-up at Newcastle last month, having got caught wide without cover; more to come now and leading claims.

This looks a great opportunity for COMME BELLA FILLE to get herself back in the winners enclosure. She won 3 starts back and has shaped promisingly the last twice especially latest when denied just a neck at the line having got caught wide without cover. If she gets a better toe in here she should be finishing best and she appeals as the most likely winner to me. Upscale also knocked on the door last time and has now finished runner-up on 2 of her last 3. Just 1 win from 30 starts doesn’t inspire confidence though so while she could run well I think the fav will always have her measure. Savagery will be looking to finish best but things might not pan out favourably for him. If they do he is a threat.

Smart type who is chasing a hat-trick now after impressing the last twice; likes to race on the speed and will look to gallop these into submission; form stacks up and comfortably the one they all have to beat again.

We head to Carnarvon on Thursday morning for our second best bet Down Under and CASUAL TRADE can strike again. He is bidding to land a hat-trick and make it 5 wins from 18 starts. He is largely progressive and looks to have turned a corner lately. This looks a good opportunity again and I expect him to handle the tricky draw under likely positive tactics again. Gets in light with the 4kg claim and no surprise to see him a short enough price to take this out. Premio Momento is fitter again and has a good draw so looks the obvious danger. Startthefriar just missed at Geraldton two starts back and that looks good form now so if he bounces back he should also have a say in the finish.
