NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT AT DONCASTER ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON!

Doncaster 2.45 Line Of Descent (13/8)

Promising type who was given an educational ride keeping on nicely into third on debut over 1m2f here in March; should be a lot wiser now and sure to improve going up in trip; lots to like and looks to have a big chance.

Given the second Dhushan has gone on to win his next two starts the debut form of LINE OF DESCENT when third at Doncaster looks all the better now and with more to come stepping up in trip he gets a confident vote to come out on top now. He wasn’t knocked about that day and struck me as a horse that would know a lot more next time out. I know he has been well found in the market but this does look a really good opportunity on paper. Golden Bugle is by Golden Horn and she stepped forward from her debut run to finish third last time. She probably lacks the potential of the favourite but does look the most likely danger in this field. Neptune Seas makes his debut but might need the outing.

NAP

Doncaster 2.45 Line Of Descent (13/8)

Salisbury 2.38 Rose Hip (2/1)

Likeable mare who clocked a career best winning convincingly at Windsor last month, running on well; 4lb higher but Marquand booked for the ride again and she comes here with confidence high; obvious contender.

It won’t be easy up 4lb as these sprint races are often defined by tight margins but ROSE HIP looks one to keep on side for now. Tom Marquand has rode her to all 6 career victories and it would take a brave man to say she isn’t going to go close again here. Newyorkstateofmind should go hard early and Lomu might not let him have it all his own way so the selection should get a nice toe in before hopefully getting there as the line looms. Kool Moe Dee was below par at Haydock but this better ground could see him bounce back and I don’t expect him to be all that far away either. The rest look fairly exposed so I think the market has this spot on and the market principals will fight it out.
