NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT BEVERLEY ON TUESDAY NIGHT!
Beverley 6.40 Judicial (2/1)
Smart sprinter who looked to need the run on return in the Palace House at Newmarket last month; this much easier and his class is expected to tell; perfect 3-3 over this track and trip too which is another notable plus.
With 3 runs and 3 wins over this C&D JUDICIAL is expected to prove too classy for this field. I know he is a 9yo now but I still think he retains all his ability and he just shaped as though he’d come on for the run when down the field in the Palace House at Newmarket last month. This represents a drop in grade and with good pace engaged with Caspian Prince in the field he should get a lovely toe in before showing that potent turn of foot in the closing stages. Motagally will relish this fast surface and looks the obvious danger. He will need to break sharper than he did at Haydock on return though. Tarboosh also loves this C&D so is another one to consider.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS AT BRIGHTON ON TUESDAY NIGHT!
Brighton 6.50 Kendergarten Kop (11/4)
Showed improved form in the blinkers winning three in a row here in recent weeks; tough ask in a deep handicap at Sandown last time and if you can put a line through that he looks to have plenty going for him again.
This looks a great chance for KENDERGARTEN KOP to get back on track and I’m quite surprised he isn’t favourite for this. He brought up a track hat-trick prior to disappointing in a tough race last time and if he bounces back here I expect him to have too much for main market rival Sir Oliver. The latter was only beaten a length in a good race here last month so if he builds on that in easier company he should run well. I prefer the selection though as he was clearly flying prior to that run last time. Shoot To Kill will enter calculations if he drops his head early but this small field is unlikely to suit and he is passed over again. Both Doc Sportello and Real Estate both need to find more.
